A total of 600 farmers in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah on Saturday received incentives for summer onion and transplanting Amnan (T-Aman) farming in the current season.
The incentives were distributed free of cost among the listed beneficiaries of 11 unions and a municipality of Kaliganj for the session 2024-25 at a programme at Kaliganj Upazila Parishad auditorium at 10:00am.
The programme was presided over by Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ishrat Zahan. Kaliganj Upazila Parishad (UZ) chairman Shibli Nomani distributed the incentives as the chief guest. Upazila agricultural officer Mahbub Alam Roni, upazila fire service and civil defense station officer Mamunur Rashid, Upazila vice chairman Shafiquzzaman Rasel and Upazila woman vice chairman Shanaz Parvin among others were present.
