Six people were killed and three others were injured in a collision between a microbus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Sirajganj's Kamarkhand on Sunday.
The accident happened in front of Bhadraghat ACI Food factory on Sirajganj-Nalka regional road at around 12:00 noon.
Three of the deceased have been identified as Rasedul Islam, an auto-rickshaw driver, resident of Brakshboyra village of Raiganj upazila, Nuruzzaman and Tarek Rahman, residents of Bhatra village of Tarash upazila.
Kamarkhand Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rezaul Karim said a CNG-run auto-rickshaw going from Sirajganj to Nalka collided head-on with a microbus coming from the opposite direction at Bhadraghat ACI mill of Kamarkhand upazila on the Sirajganj-Nalka regional road. Three people were killed on the spot. At least four others were injured. On information, police and firefighters reached at the spot and rescued the injured. The injured were sent to Shaheed M Mansoor Ali Medical College Hospital where three others died.
