Police recovered 55 fresh cocktails from a public toilet at Bilashpur Bazar in Shariatpur's Jajira upazila on Monday night, based on information given by two youths, arrested earlier.
The arrestees are identified as Russell Madbar, 24, son of Abdul Khaleq Madbar of Meherali Madbarkandi village and Debu Kha, 33, son of Mofiz Khan of Jankharkandi village in the upazila.
Shariatpur DB Police Officer-in-Charge Saiful Alam said, “We arrested two youths named Russell Madbar and Debu Kha on the basis of secret information from Jajira Bilashpur area under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police SM Mizanur Rahman of Naria Circle”.
“During interrogation, those two arrestees informed that there were
cocktails hidden in a public toilet at Bilashpur Bazar. Later, according to their information, we recovered 55 fresh cocktails hidden inside four buckets from the public toilet”, he added.
A police team including Jajira Police Station SI Atiyar Rahman, DB SI Nazrul, Alauddin and Mosleuddin were present at the time. DB will file a case against several people including the detainees with Jajira police station in this regard.
