In Chittagong's Mirsharai 5 houses with 20 rooms were burnt to ashes due to electrical short circuit. The fire incident took place at Amir Ali Saudagar's house in Purba Sahebpur village of Ochmanpur union of the upazila at around 9 am on Monday. In this incident, the fire service tried to put out the fire, but nothing could be saved in 5 houses with 20 rooms.
According to the information provided by Mirsharai Fire Service and Civil Defense Station, the victims of the fire are Shahabuddin, Nayan Tara, Aminul Haque, Madul Haque, Sujaul Haque.
Eyewitness Sirajul Haque of this house said that the fire started from electrical short circuit from Madul Haque's house at around 9 am on Monday and 5 residential houses with 20 rooms were burnt to ashes in a moment. Powe Fire Service personnel arrived and brought the fire under control. It caused a loss of about 20 lakh Taka.
Imam Hossain Patwari, Station Officer of Mirsharai Fire Service and Civil Defense Station said that on Monday morning at 9:15 AM, the fire service personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. Although 5 residential houses were damaged, several nearby houses were saved.
The fire is initially believed to have started from an electrical short circuit. The rest will be known after the investigation.
