489 ticketless passengers fined by Paksey railway

On-duty officials of Bangladesh Railway, Paksey Division, have realised a fine of Taka 88,580 as fine and fare from 489 passengers travelling without tickets from five intercity trains at five stations of the division on Monday. 

Paksey Divisional Railway Manager Office sources informed from Monday morning to afternoon, block-checking was conducted in Ishwardi Junction, Natore, Santahar, Joypurhat and Birampur railway stations on No.57 Ishwardi-Rajshahi Commuter train, No-733 Rajshahi-Chilahati Intercity Titumir Express train, No-732 Chilahati-Rajshahi Barendra Express, No 727 (up) Khulna-Chilahati Rupsha Express and No. 728 ( down) Rupsha Simanto Express train and fare and fine amounting Taka 88,580 was recovered from 489 ticketless passen gers of the trains. 

The block-checking was headed by Divisional Commercial Officer of Pakesy division Fuad Hossain. He was accompanied by Transport Inspector of Paksey division AKM Nurul Alam, TTEs Abdul Mabud, Abdul Alim Biswas Mithu, Yeasir Arafat, Borkat Ullah, Al Amin, Golam Kibria and the members of the Railway Nirapatta Bahini( RNB). 

 Fuad Hossain, DCO of railway Paksey division, informed the officials of Paksey divisional railway were conducting operations on trains against the passengers travelling without tickets and to ensure passenger-services and a peaceful train journey for the passengers. Such operation will continue further, he added.
