The 46th preliminary examination for the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) will take place on April 26.
Seeking allocation for the examination, the Public Service Commission (PSC) Secretariat issued a letter to the concerned educational institutions on Wednesday (Feb 9).
However, PSC authorities have not made an official announcement about this. This time, 3.38 lakh candidates have applied for the BCS test after the application process for the 46th BCS started on December 10 last year.
The PSC will recruit 3,140 cadres through this BCS. In this BCS, PSC will recruit the maximum number of health cadres, with 1,682 assistant surgeons and 16 assistant dental surgeons.
Following this, a maximum of 520 people would be selected for the education cadre.
Furthermore, 274 people will be recruited in administration, 10 in international affairs, 80 in police, 14 in Ansar, 26 in fisheries, and 65 in public works.
