The Public Service Commission (PSC) has decided to re-announce the 46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination results to ensure transparency, fairness, and impartiality in the recruitment process for top public service positions.

Additionally, the commission has decided to conduct a fresh viva voce for candidates who passed the written exams of the 44th BCS and to re-assess the answer sheets of the 45th BCS written exams with the involvement of third examiners.

The decision was taken by the newly appointed eight members of the PSC during their meeting held at the commission office in Dhaka on Monday.

In a press release issued this afternoon, the PSC said the results of the preliminary examination for the 46th BCS were initially published on 9 May this year and a total of 10,638 candidates were selected for the written examination.

The PSC said that the suspicion of question paper leakage of various non-cadre exams, including the 44th, 45th and 46th BCS exams, was seriously discussed in the meeting of the new commission chairman and 8 members.

The commission took the decision in the interest of maintaining transparency, fairness and impartiality of the exams.
