Two children and a husband-wife couple died when a wall collapsed at Parbatipur in Dinajpur.
The accident took place at midnight on Saturday (September 26) at Jhaupara village in Palashbari union of Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur.
The deceased have been identified as Swapon (30), his wife Sarjana (25) and their two infant sons Hossain (7) and Hasibur (5).
According to local sources, Abdus Salam's daughter Sarjana and husband Swapon lived in the house with their two sons. Swapon is a van driver by profession.
Heavy rains have continued in the region for the past few days. They fell asleep last night. At around 12.45 pm, the mud walls of the house and the tin roof collapsed and fell on them, killing them.
Later the locals rescued them. Fire service rescue workers are working at the scene.
