Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) fined four establishments Tk 1.4 lakh in Narajanganj city for irregularities.
A team from the directorate, led by Narayanganj district office assistant director Selimuzzaman, raided different city areas and imposed the fine.
Among them, Medi Aid Diagnostic Centre was fined Tk 50,000 for using date-expired re-antigen and not having a price list of the services. Al Hera General Hospital was imposed a fine of Tk 40,000 for overcharging patients.
Besides, Messrs Azmeri Bhandar was fined Tk 30,000 for not showing a price list of watermelon and Ashirbad Oil Mill Tk 20,000 for not supplying adequate products as per their commitment.
DNCRP official Selimuzzaman said the raids would be continued in the public interest.
