4 businesses fined Tk 30,000 in Gazipur

A mobile court on Thursday fined two bakery shops and two rice and pulses warehouses Tk 30,000 at Amraid Bazar in Gazipur’s Kapasia upazila.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Tanvir Farhad Shamim led the mobile court.

The court fined Bismillah Bakery and Bayazid Bakery Tk 20,000 each under Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009 for producing food in an unhealthy environment, storing burnt oil, mixing harmful dyes

The mobile court also seized burnt ore and destroyed harmful paint.

Later, it also the two rice, pulses and flour warehouses Tk 5,000 each for violating the Compulsory Use of Jute Wrapping Act

The mobile court was assisted by District Jute Inspector Md. Faizullah and members of Ansar Battalion.
