The total number of recovered coronavirus (COVID-19) patients rose to 4,733 with healing of 209 more people in a day among 9,484 infected people in the division in last 24 hours till Tuesday noon.
Khulna divisional Director (Health) Dr. Rasheda Sultana told that a total of 4,733 corona virus patients recovered so far and the percentage of recovery rate stood at 50 in the division.
The district-wise numbers of recovered patients are 702 in Jashore, 258 in Narail, 243 in Jhenaidah, 167 in Magura, 766 in Kushtia, 239 in Chuadanga, 78 in Meherpur, 1,815 in Khulna, 205 in Satkhira and 260 in Bagerhat districts under the division, she mentioned.
“The healed patients were discharged from home isolations and Dedicated Corona Isolation Hospitals of the division after disappearance of all symptoms and two consecutive real-time PCR tests were found negative,” she said, adding that the total number of COVID-19
patients rose to 9,484 with 280 new positive cases were reported after testing 937 samples at the respective COVID-19 laboratories in the
division in the last 24 hours till Tuesday noon.
The health officials said the newly detected 280 COVID-19 patients were 27 in Jashore, 19 in Jhenaidah, 9 in Magura,43 in Kushtia, 46 in Chuadanga, 4 (Four) in Meherpur, 73 in Khulna, 37 in Satkhira, and 22 in Bagerhat districts in the division. Nobody detected of COVID-19 patient in Narail district in last 24 hours the health officials said.
“Among the total 9,484 COVID-19 patients, 1,426 in Jashore, 524 in Narail, 664 in Jhenaidah, 334 in Magura,1,236 in Kushtia, 446 in Chuadanga, 137 in Meherpur, 3,737 in Khulna, 547 in Satkhira and 433 in Bagerhat districts under the division,” Dr. Rasheda said.
“The district-wise break-up of the fatalities remains: 56 in Khulna, 28 in Kushtia, 20 in Jashore, 15 in Satkhira, 13 in Jhenaidah, 10 in Bagerhat, Nine in Narail, seven in Magura, seven in Meherpur and six in Chuadanga districts in the division. A total of 171 died in the division” she added.
Currently, the fatality rate among the total 8,760 Covid-19 patients stands at 2 percent in the division.
“Since the beginning from March 10 last, a total of 47,531 people were put in quarantine and of them, 44,599 released and 2,932 are currently remaining in home or institutional quarantine in Khulna division,” she further said.
We have maximum importance on inspiring the people in maintaining physical distance, wearing marks and abiding by the health direction to prevent community transmission of COVID-19 and providing proper treatments to the infected patients,” she added.
