Muksedpur upazila administration distributed 55,500 metric tonnes of rice among 3,700 poor families of 16 union of the upazila in Gopalganj on Thursday.
Meanwhile 470 families received 20 kg rice, 1 ½ kg oil, 1 kg pulses, 1 ½ kg salt, 1 ½ kg onions and 50 gm dried chilies as relief. Therefore, the total number of families receiving relief is 4,170.
Mukhsudpur Upazila Parishad chairman Md. Kabir Mia and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Taslima Ali led the distribution of food items at different unions, including Muksudpur municipality and Vabrasur union.
