Young students are being taught in a dilapidated building, which looks like an abandoned house from a distance, the national flag is fluttering in front of the school and classes are being taught in dilapidated rooms. Due to the non-nationalization of the school even after 37 years of establishment, the educational life of the school students has become uncertain, the residents are disappointed.
Most recently, it was found that 24 km from Bandarban district, 5 km from Rowangchhari upazila headquarters, Ward No. 7 of Alexkhyong Union No. 3, Bekhyong Purnabasan para private primary school next to Rowangchhari to Kachchapatli (tourist center Devtakum) road, is the only educational institution for the education of boys and girls of more than 100 families of 4 neighborhoods including Grokxyong Para, Aleghi Para, Khama Para and Bekshyong Para.
Students are being taught in the dilapidated building of the school. The teacher Daw a shain marma said that the school will collapse any moment and if it rains, the class have to be paused, when it rains, water falls through the holes in the roof. She sought the government's kind attention to nationalize the school and construct a new building.
According to local sources, the school was established in 1985 with the help of some students of the area and the forest department. This school was managed under the Forest Department from 1991 to 1991, then from 1992 to 2000 under the initiative of the Rowangchari Sub Zone Commander. Then from 2001 to 2004 it was managed with the financial support of Grouse, a local NGO in Bandarban district. From 2005 to 2019, it was managed by Caritas NGO, at that time Caritas provided two-room semi-pucca tin shed, when it rained during school, all the students were piled up and kept in one room. Around the year 2019, when the outbreak of Corona epidemic occurred worldwide, the school activities were stopped.
The education of young students of the area is also stopped. Later, at the request of the local people, the former chairman of Bandarban Hill District Council Towain Cha Prue master and Reicha Tholi Para Buddhist Viharadhyak U Wainda shara Vikku.
He took charge of the management of the school. In this year, Wainda shara Vikku was formed as the president of the school management committee and Aungjai we chak as the general secretary.
He appointed 6 teachers including 5 teachers for general education and 1 teacher for Marma language education through the committee with a monthly salary of only 2 thousand taka for each teacher. Currently 57 students are studying in the school.
