The first biennial elections of 33rd BCS General Education Association took place on November 1 at 39 polling centres across the country. A total of 750 voters out 820 exercised their voting rights in the elections.
Later, Chief Election Commissioner of the polls Khairul Hasan announced the results from National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM) in Dhaka.
Md Moyeen Uddin, lecturer of Feni Govt College, and Md Shahinur Islam, research officer of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, were elected president and secretary of the 33rd BCS General Education Association respectively.

The other office bearers are first vice president Raju Ahmed, second vice president Khalilur Rahman, joint secretaries Shahinur Islam Mohon and Ibrahim Hossain, central organising secretary Tarikul Islam, finance secretary Abu Syed Mohammad Mujib, office secretary Jannatul Maowa, information and technology secretary Md Mozammel Haque of Govt. BM College, Barisal, publicity secretary Ahsanul Haque, social welfare and cooperatives secretary Afsar Uddin, law affairs secretary Oli Ullah, literary and publication secretary Mehedi Hasan Bappy, and education research and seminar affairs secretary Wali Ullah.
