A number of 330 meritorious students of Shibganj upazila in the district got tabs as the prime minister's gift on Monday.
A function was organised on the occasion at the auditorium of Shibganj Upazila Parishad with the Upazila Statistics Officer Monirul Islam in the chair.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Abul Hayat attended the function as the chief guest while Upazila Secondary Education Officer Joinal Abedin, Upazila Academic Supervisor Murshidul Alam, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Engineer Ariful Islam and Upazila Social Service Officer Kanchan Kumar Das attended it as special guests.
Students who stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd in class nine and ten in different high schools, madrashas and technical schools got the Prime Minister's gift.
