The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in 24 hours till 6:00 am on Saturday (October 14) arrested 32 persons for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
Being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas, seizing drugs and arresting drug sellers and abusers, according to a statement issued by DMP.
They seized 9,903 pieces of Yaba tablets, 2.8kg of hemp, and 496gm of heroin from their possessions, the statement said. According to the statement, 22 cases were filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
