Chuadanga Red Crescent Society distributed cash Tk 750,000 and cooked food among 300 poor Covid-19 affected families on the premises of Red Crescent Society and Eye Hospital in the town on Tuesday (September 7).
A discussion meeting was held on the occasion. The meeting was presided over by Sheikh Shamsul Abedin Khokon, Chairman of Chudanga Zila Parishad. Nazrul Islam Sarker, Deputy Commission (DC) of Chuadanga, Reazul Islam Joarder Toton, Joint Secretary of District Awami League, Adv. Sahrab Hossain, Vice Chairman of Red Crescent Society, Jahangir Hossain, Additional Police Super and Shahidul Islam Sahan, Secretary of Red Crescent Society addressed the meeting.
After the discussion meeting each of the poor family was given Tk 2,500 and cooked food at the programme. Over 300 families received these at the time.
