Students aged 12-16 got first dose of vaccine in the country from 1st November, last year.
According to the Department of Health, almost 1.7cr students have received the first dose of vaccine in the country, so far. About 1.4 cr received the second dose. More than 30 lakh students are still waiting for the second dose of vaccine.
This was informed through a press release on Covid-19 vaccination from the Department of Health.
In a statement signed by the director and line director of the management information branch (MIS) of the department, Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman, it has been stated that since the beginning of vaccination program to prevent coronavirus infection in the country, more than 12.8cr people have come under the first dose of vaccine till now. More than 9.1cr people got two doses of vaccine. In addition, more than 58.4 lakh people received the booster (third) dose till now.
It was further said that 4,811 people were vaccinated with the first dose on Friday across the country. The second dose was given to 18,670 people and the booster dose was given to 31,925 people.
The vaccines were provided by Oxford-Astrageneca, Synoform, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson.
Meanwhile, so far 1.95 lakh people of the floating population in the country have come under vaccination. They have been given a single dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
