Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-14 (CPC-2) detained three snatchers from Batrish area of Kishoreganj district town on Tuesday morning.
The detainees were identified as Sajeeb Poddar (26) son of late Balaram Poddar of Batrish Mukti Smarani area under Sadar upazila, Sumon Ahmed Lijan (20) son of late Tamir Uddin of Gachihata village under Katiadi upazila and Shah Alam (28) son of Late Jalal Uddin of Batrish Bagadia village under Sadar Upazila of the district.
Company Commander of RAB-14 (CPC-2) Kishoreganj Camp Lt. M. Shovon Khan confirmed the information at noon on Tuesday (July 28).
He said that while the RAB-14 (CPC-2) was on patrol duty, the movement of three people on the road in front of a Honda Bitan shop in the Batrish Zila Sarani Moor area of the district town seemed suspicious. When RAB members tried to interrogate them, they fled.
However, later, RAB detained them, searched their bodies and recovered 2 knives, 1 combination player, 3 mobile phones and Tk 1,270 in cash. A case has been filed with Kishoreganj Model Police Station in this regard.
