Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested 3 members of gang of robbers in Kishoreganj. The members of RAB-14 CPC-2 Kishoreganj camp arrested them from district memorial junction area of the city on Wednesday (February 28) around 10:30 pm. The arrested are Pappu (27), son of deceased Dulal of Nagua area of the district town, Muhaimin Hasan Mamun alias Al Mamun (23), son of Haroon Or Rashid of the same area and Md Marjan (21), son of Md Manik of Bagadia area.
On Thursday (February 29) afternoon RAB-14 CPC-2 Kishoreganj camp company captain squadron leader Md. Ashraful Kabir confirmed the matter and said that based on secret information, some gangs of organized robbers in the city are taking hostages of ordinary people to secluded places in the night and are stealing personal belongings including money and mobile phones by showing fear. On the basis of this information, the Sangh Bandha conducted a raid in the area of the District Memorial and arrested Pappu, Mamun and Marjan, members of the bandit gang. At this time, 3 stolen mobile phones were recovered from them.
Squadron leader Md. Ashraful Kabir also said that in the initial interrogation, the three arrested accused said that they along with some friends of the area have been terrorizing the common people for a long time and have been committing misdemeanors like robbery and also admitted that the 3 mobile phones they have are stolen mobiles. In the initial interrogation, the 3 accused said that they had gathered at District Smrani Mor on Wednesday (February 28) night for the purpose of robbery. They have been handed over to Kishoreganj Model Police Station for further legal action. Kishoreganj Model Police Station Inspector Investigation Shyamal Mia said, Pappu is a warrant accused in a robbery case. And Mamun and Marjan are suspects in a robbery case. The 3 accused were produced in court on Thursday (February 29) afternoon and the judge ordered them to be sent to jail.
