Officers of Department of Narcotics Control have arrested three including husband-wife with five kilogram of Hemp at Mongla upazila of Bagerhat. They have been arrested from the Murgi Bazar area adjacent to Tajmahal Road of the municipal area on Wednesday evening.
The arrestees are drug dealer Baby (35), her husband Mahatab Hawladar (50) and the son-in-law Rasel (21). Assistant Director Md. Bulu Sheikh stated that a team from District Department of Narcotics Control conducted a drive at the Murgi Bazar area of the Tajmahal road on Wednesday. During the drive, they recovered 4,900 gram of hemp from the house of Baby, who was suspected to be a drug dealer. At the time, Baby, her husband and son-in-law was arrested. They were sent to Mongla Police Station immediately.
Mongla Police Station OC Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury informs that the arrestees will be sent to the court on Thursday on after filing a case against them.
