According to Bhola sadar model police station, a 200-meter race was held as part of the selection process for the Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC) recruitment exam on Sunday.
The test began at 2.00pm and Imran failed to qualify. The recruitment authorities marked ‘disqualified’ on Imran's online admit card. However, he sought the assistance of Md Tanzim, also known as Siyam, an operator at a computer service shop named ‘Ma Computer’ located opposite the headquarters of ‘Grameen Jana Unnayan Sangstha’ near the police lines area. With Siam’s help, Imran altered the word ‘disqualified’ to ‘qualified’ through scanning and editing. Then he attempted to proceed to the next phase of the exam and was caught red-handed.
When the authorities informed the police intelligence branch, they acted on information provided by the detained Imran and arrested Siyam and Tamim, who were involved in the forgery.
The intelligence branch of police also seized a digital printer, a CPU, a smartphone, and two SIM cards used in the fraudulent activities.
The intelligence branch said that a formal case was filed against the accused following due procedures.
