Three meritorious students of 3 departments under the Faculty of Arts of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded “Farid-Shireen Trust Fund Scholarship” for their outstanding academic performances.
The recipients of scholarship are Mahmudul Ahsan (Arabic), Zakia Jahan Aany (Linguistics) and Mithila Acharya (Dance). DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed scholarships among the recipients as chief guest on Tuesday at the VC’s lounge of the university.
Treasurer of DU Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin presided over the function. Dean of the Faculty of Arts Professor Dr Abu Md Delwar Hossain, Registrar Md Enamuzzaman and donor of the Trust Fund Md Farid Miah were present on this occasion.
Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman thanked the donors and congratulated the awardees. He said students would be inspired by this scholarship to gear-up their studies and make themselves as worthy citizen.
