On the basis of secret information, Bangladesh Coast Guard members detained two men with 4,000 Yaba pills by searched a suspicious CNG at Teknaf BCG check post on Saturday evening.
Thr detainees are identified as Md. Abdur Rahim, 32, and Mohammad Ismail, 22, residents of Sabrang police station under Teknaf police station in Cox's Bazar.
Meanwhile, in another operation, Teknaf BCG station men searched a suspect in Kearry Ghat area and seized 10,000 Yaba tablets from his bag on Saturday night.
The detainee was identified as Mohammad Osman, 22, son of Nur Hossain, resident of Jadimura Jinjira area of Teknaf police station in Cox's Bazar.
The seized Yaba, CNG and the detainees have been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for further action. Regular operations have been and will continue to be carried out in the areas under the control of the Bangladesh Coast Guard to maintain law and order, public safety as well as to prevent piracy, robberies, drug smuggling and illegal infiltration.
