Bangladesh registered three deaths from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am Monday. The total number of deaths rose to 28,031 with one addition to the latest figure.
The country recorded 385 new infections in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 1,579,710, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday.
The current positivity rate stands at 1.45 percent and the overall positivity rate stands at 14.18 percent.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.77 percent in the country.
Around 22,037 samples were tested across the country till 8am Monday.
The three deaths, two male and one female, were reported in the Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions.
Some 267 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. A total of 1,544,417 people have recovered from the virus so far and the recovery rate stands at 97.78 percent.
As of Monday, 5,324,326 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 270,510,602 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
