Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) in Jhenaidah had fined three business centres in Jhenaidah town to prevent the price hiking trend and keep the prices of essential commodities under control by the businessmen on Monday during the fasting month Ramadan. DNCRP assistant director Nishat Meher had conducted the drive.
The mobile court conducted by the assistant director fined the business centres for not keeping adequate price lists, selling colourful cheeps, not mentioning the production and expiry date of flattened rice at Natun Hatkhola, kitchen market and Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardi road in the town.
