Charges have been formed in the court against 29 accused in the murder case of Rohingya leader Muhibullah discussed in Cox's Bazar. This charge was formed in the court of Cox's Bazar District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Ismail this Sunday afternoon.
Cox's Bazar District and Sessions Judge's Court Public Prosecutor PP Advocate Faridul Alam said today that the scheduled date for the murder case of Rohingya leader Muhibbullah was fixed on Sunday. The court heard the charge sheet given by the police in this murder case. After the hearing, the court formed charges against 29 accused in the Muhibbullah murder case. PP said that through this, the judicial process of the murder of Rohingya leader Muhibbullah has officially started. 15 of the 29 accused in the case were present in the court when the charges were framed. The remaining 14 accused are absconding. A total of 31 people have been made witnesses in the case. The witnesses will be examined at a later date of judicial proceedings in the case
He said that the Ukhia Thana police filed a charge sheet in the court on June 13 in this murder case.
Muhibullah was killed by gunmen at the office of Arkan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights (ARSPH) in the D-Block of Ukhiya's Kutupalong Lambashia Rohingya Camp on the night of September 29 last year. He was the chairman of that organization.
On September 30, Muhibbullah's younger brother Habibullah filed a murder case against unidentified terrorists at the Ukhia Police Station as the plaintiff. Gazi Salah Uddin, OC of Ukhia police station, was given charge of investigating the case. At the end of the investigation, he filed a charge sheet against 29 people in the court.
Officer-in-Charge of Ukhia Police Station OC Sheikh Mohammad Ali said that 4 of the 15 arrested have given a confessional statement under Section 164.
At the same time, 3 witnesses also gave a statement under section 164. Although 36 people were identified as involved in this murder, the address and location of 7 people could not be identified, so 29 people were accused and a charge sheet was filed in the court.
