Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Eid gift VGF rice has been distributed among 2775 needy families of Pukuria Union of Banskhali Upazila of Chattogram ahead of Eid-ul-Azha to soften the blow of a spiralling inflation.
Pukuria Union Parishad Chairman Md. Ashab Uddin Chowdhury distributed these rice on Pukuria Union Parishad premises on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, he distributed 10 kg of rice among 2775 distressed and helpless families of various wards of the union.
Tag Officer Enamul Karim, Pukuria Union Parishad Secretary Pankaj Dutta, UP Member Emdadullah, UP Member Habibur Rahman Mia, UP Member Farukuzzaman, UP Member Mamunur Rashid, UP Member Ryan Jannat and UP Member Kanetul Jannat were present.
During the distribution of rice, UP Chairman Md. Ashab Uddin on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wished everyone in advance on the holy Eid-ul-Azha and said, 'The present government is working to improve the fortunes of poor and helpless people.
In this context, in an effort to share the joy of Eid with everyone, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken such an initiative to distribute rice among the poor and helpless people.
He said, "During the tenure of this government, a huge amount of development has been achieved in the country.
If this government is in power, the continuity of development will be maintained.
