The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 26 individuals on charges of selling and consuming drugs in various areas of the capital.
Until 6 am on Wednesday, the DMP conducted 24-hour raids in different areas of the capital, resulting in arrests along with the seizure of drugs.
According to DMP sources, in addition to the arrests, authorities seized 350 pieces of yaba, 41 grammes of heroin, 42.4 kilogrammes of marijuana, 96 cans of beer, and 100 bottles of phensidyl from their custody.
The arrested individuals face charges under the Narcotics Control Act, with 27 cases registered against them in the respective police stations.
