24 Prohar Naamjagya ends in Jhenaidah village

24 prohar (three-day) naamjagya, a religious programme of the Hindu community was concluded at Kumiradah village of Shailkupa upazila in Jhenidah on early Friday. Organized by Kumiradah Rathkhola Sarbojonin Naamjagya Committee, seven teams presented their events.

Naamjagya committee organizer, also an associate professor of the department of Management in Islamic University Dhanajoy Kumar, said Gourabhakta Sampradaya of Khulna, Gurubhai Sampradaya of Rajbari, Rupashree Sampradaya of Magura, Naba Satsangha Sampradaya Satkhira, Maa Shyama Astasakhi Sampradaya of Paikgachha in Khulna, Maa Sankari Sampradaya of Faridpur and Ram Gita Sampradaya of the organizing village participated in the events.

The organizer said the progarmme is a regular yearly religious event in the village where the people of Hindu community prays for peace and progress of the human being and remove all odds and superstitions from the society. Thousands of people from different districts like Magura, Faripdpur and some other places joined the programme, Dhanajoy Kumar said.
