As many as 200 foreign artists paid tributes to Father of the Nation 200 foreign artists pay tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara of Gopalganj district Sunday.
Artists from 114 countries have come to Dhaka to take part in the 19th Asian Art Biennial at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
The artists led by Director General of Shilpakal Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky paid their tributes by placing wreaths at the mausoleum of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Sunday afternoon.
Later, they took part in a munazat seeking salvation of the departed soul of Bangabandhu and the Liberation War martyrs. They also prayed for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Additional Deputy Commissioner A K M Hedayetul Islam, district Cultural Officer Al Mamun Bin Saleh and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Al Mamun were present.
