2 teachers suspended at Kaliganj SSC exam centre

Two teachers of a Kaliganj High School were expelled and relieved from their duty when an answer script of a secondary school certificate (SSC) examinee was missing from the examination hall. The duo is assistant teacher of Barobazer high school Jesmine Nahar and assistant teacher of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Bidya Niketon Akram Hossain. Although the examination hall was enriched with close circuit camera, it was set at such a place which could not capture the event of missing the answer script.

Examination centre secretary, also headmaster of Barobazer high school, Abeda Nasreen said the said duo had received all the 41 answer scripts and entered in to their rooms. But they had submitted 40 pieces of the same where a copy was missing on Thursday afternoon. The missing was found when they authority compared it with the top sheet of the examinees. The answer script of an examinee Hafiza Yesmin bearing roll number 236878 of Barobazer high school was seen missing.

Hall superintendent of the centre, also headmaster of Subarnasara high school, Ramesh Chandra Biswas when contacted said the answer script of agriculture science was missing during the time. As the teachers engaged in duty in the examination hall could not trace out the answer script, they were suspended after the incident and relieved from their duty.

Upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Subarna Rani Saha when contacted admitted the fact and said abide suspension of said two teachers, they had informed the matter to the board of intermediate and secondary education in Jashore for next course of action.
