Two persons were killed in a road accident in Sultannagar area under Subarnachar Upazila of Noakhali on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Jamal Uddin Gazi, 55, son of Sultan Ahmed and Hafiz Ullah, 57, son of Maolana Nurul Ullah, residents of the Upazila.
UP member of Char Aman Ullah Ward No. 1, Hossain Ahmmad Dulal, said Gazi and Hafiz Ullah were going to Maizdi riding a motorcycle in the morning. A rashly driven CNG-run auto-rickshaw hit their motorcycle. Immediate after the incident, a truck hit their motorcycle, leaving Gazi dead on the spot. Locals rescued them and rushed to 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital where on duty doctor declared Gazi dead. Hafiz Ullah succumbed to his injury at 4:00pm at the hospital.
Charjabbar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kauchhar Alam Bhuiyan said on information, police were sent to the spot. The details will be informed later.
