At least two people were killed on the spot when a pickup van rammed a standing car beside Nizampur Ridwan Filling Station on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway under Mirsarai upazila of the district recently.
The victims were identified as van driver Masum Billah, 40, and car passenger Abdul Rahim, 42. Police quoting local people said, a goods laden pickup van hit the car standing on the side of the road beside Nizampur Ridwan Filling Station on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway under Mirsarai upazila. Sub-Inspector (SI) Alamgir Hossain of Kumira Highway Police Station said two people died in the accident at Nizampur area.
