Police have detained two people for allegedly throwing acid on a madrasa student at Bongram Sarkerpara area under Chatmohar upazila of Pabna on Friday morning.
The victim was identified as Sobura Khatun, daughter of Salilur Rahman, hailed from aforesaid area and 10th grader student of Bongram Beniazi Dakhil Madrasa. She was admitted to Pabna General Hospital.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chatmohar Police Station Nasir Uddin confirmed the matter. According to OC, on Friday night around 9 pm Sobura Khatun was studying in her house. At that time, two wicked threw acid on her face and fled. With the help of local people, Roton and Ripon were arrested. Later, injured Sobura was admitted to Pabna General Hospital. A case has been filed in this connection, OC added.
