Mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation Dr Selina Hayat Ivy inaugurated two eco-friendly garbage collection vehicles in the city on Tuesday.
The battery-run garbage collection cars were inaugurated with the all-digital amenities.
The householder using their mobile apps can find out the location of the car. It can be called by the mobile phone apps or using calling bell of house. Both the garbage cars are manufactured in the country using the absolute technology. The car manufacturer named it ‘Prokititr Gari (Natural Car)’ and branded it as environment friendly as it does not use fuel and has not smoke emit engine.
When a house holder calls the garbage car by using apps, it automatically reaches in front of house and open its cover and after collecting garbage the shutter closes automatically.
In each trip this car capable to collect 800 kg of garbage.
The representative of the car supplier company ‘Estellor Corporation’ said that the total cost of each car is Tk 4.38 lakh only.
Mayor Ivy said that these cars is run by trial. If the project become success, more car will be bought.
