Two meritorious students of the Department of Biomedical Physics and Technology of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded “Khondkar Lutfi Rabbani-Nazmunnesa Memorial Scholarship” for their outstanding academic results in MS examinations. The recipients of scholarships are Ashis Sharma Dipta and Md Sharjish Ibne Wadud. DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed scholarships among the students as chief guest at a function on Sunday at the VC’s lounge of the university.
Treasurer of DU Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin presided over the function while Chairman of the Department of Biomedical Physics and Technology Dr M Abdul Kadir, one of the donors of the trust fund Professor Dr Khondkar Siddique-e-Rabbani and some other family members were, among others, present on this occasion.
Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to equip themselves with self-dignity and moral values to become worthy citizen. He paid his glowing tribute to the memories of late Khondkar Lutfi Rabbani and late Nazmunnesa.
