2 detained for HSTU student murder in Dinajpur

Police have detained Dinajpur Swecchasebok League unit President Abu Ibne Razzob and General Secretary of Dinajpur Govt. 

College Chhatra League unit Sabbir Ahmed Sujan in connection to several cases including the murder of two talented Chhatra League leaders of Hazi Mohammad Danish Science and Technology University (HSTU).

Abu Ibne Razzob was detained from residential hotel Afia in Bahadur Bazar and Sabbir Ahmed Sujan from his home in Suihari Driver Para by CID investigating the murder on Thursday noon. 

On the other hand, another accused of the murder case AL leader, Bishowjet Ghosh Kanchan, was not found searching his home.

The CID is investigating the murder of two HSTU student, said Bazlur Rashid, OC (Investigation) officer of Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station. According to instructions from the central office of CID Razzob and Sabbir were detained and sent to the district jail. 

He also said that, Razzob has been detained in six cases including two murder cases and Sabbir has been detained in five cases including a murder case.

After the news of the detention of those two got circulated two hundred activists of Swecchasebok league marched in Kotwali Police Station demanding release of them. 10 police personnel including police officers were injured when they threw bricks at the police station. 

On the night of April 16, 2015, BBA second year student Zakaria and agriculture student Mahmoudul Hasan Milton were killed in a clash between a two groups of Chhatra League at HSTU university.
