Police on Friday recovered bodies of two adolescents in bloody state from a jute field at Haruliar Chak area under Vakurta union of Savar, on the outskirts of the capital.
“The bodies were sent to Shahid Suhrawardi Medical College Hospital for autopsy after recovered, as well as a case has been filed with Savar model police station in this regard”, Kazi Mainul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Savar model police station said.
The deceased were identified as Nazmul, 17, son of Nechar Mollah, hailed from Uttarpara area under Gouronodi police station of Barishal district, and Rayhan, 17, son of Md. Ratan, from the same area, and Rayhan lives at Jadur Char area of Hemayetpur in Savar with his family, and he was an SSC candidate for the upcoming examination. It also known that they were cousin brothers to each other.
Shah Alam, In-charge of Vakurta police outpost of Savar told The Bangladesh Post, “Locals on Friday morning found them lying down in bloody state at jute filed and later they informed us, afterward we went to the scene and recovered the bodies, and found a knife next to the scene as well. We suspect the knife might be used as murder weapon.
“We got to know that the deceased were cousin brothers to each other, and Nazmul basically comes to visit Rayhan’s house recently, and they both were missing after went out from home since Thursday night.
However, we don’t know yet why the incident happened, or what the motive behind this incident was. Investigation is going on, and hopefully, killers will be identified and arrested shortly”, OC added.
