Local people arrested 19 Rohingyas while fleeing from Noakhali's Bhasanchar Shelter in Char Elahi Union of Companyganj Upajal, and handed over 19 Rohingyas to the police. There are 7 children, 4 women and 8 men among the arrested Rohingyas.
On Thursday morning, the Rohingyadre arrested from Char Balua police outpost has been sent to Bhasanchar shelter.
Locals said, local people arrested 19 Rohingyas while they were roaming suspiciously on the bank of the canal in Phul Moya Choorman Bazar on Wednesday night.
Char Balua Police Station Incharge (SI) Ramzan Ali confirmed the incident and said that the arrested Rohingyadar was sent back to Bhasanchar on Thursday morning after contacting the Bhasan char police.
