After a long pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a 19-day ‘foundation course’ has begun at the National Bank Training Institute in compliance with all hygiene rules.
A total of 35 officers, starting from Trainee Assistant (General) to First Executive Officer level are participating in the course following the proper health safety guidelines.
National Bank Ltd. Managing Director Shah Syed Abdul Bari inaugurated the course as the chief guest. Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Human Resources Department Sheikh Akhtar Uddin Ahmed and Principal and VP of the Training Institute Shah Syed Rafiul Bari were also present during the event.
The whole world has been going through a very difficult time since 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Its social and economic impact is so severe that the world’s strongest economies are still struggling to overcome it.
Bangladesh, like other countries in the world, is no exception. As a result of the coronavirus outbreak, Bangladesh is already facing health, economic, social, religious and political crises. In fact, Covid-19 had a profound effect on the country's economy.
In order to control the spread of the virus, in March last year, the government impose restriction on all government and non-government institutions, including educational institutions. Following this, the regular activities of the training institute of the bank were halted.

During this time, training activities were continued in digital platforms. Following the improved situation of Covid-19 the training institute has now started their regular activities along with the activities of the bank as well.
