National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University's 18th foundation anniversary celebrated on May 9. On the occasion of the day, the University has been celebrated the day through various programs.
The day started with the hoisting of the National Flag and the University Flag along with the National Anthem.
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam National Flag and Arts Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Musharrat hoisted the University flag as per the instruction of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. As Soumitra Shekhar.
Floral wreaths were placed on the sculpture of Bangabandhu after a conducting a colorful procession at the university premises.
The dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam places the floral wreaths. University Teachers Association, Council of Officers also placed wreaths on the sculpture of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
The dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Md. Professor Nazrul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Dr. Musharrat Shabnam, Dean and Proctor of the Faculty of Science and Engineering Dr. Ujjal Kumar Pradhan, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and President of the Teachers' Association Professor Dr. Md. Riyad Hasan, registrar agriculturist Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, Controller of Examinations (Acting) Md. Abdul Halim, General Secretary of Teachers' Association Jannatul Ferdous, President of Official Council Abdullah Al Mamun, General Secretary Ramim Al Karim, Nazrul University Branch Chhatra League President Nazrul Islam Babu and others were present at the programme.
The dean of the faculty of fine arts Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam gave a short closing speech by wishing the university day. He thanked everyone for spontaneously celebrating the University Day.
