17 houses burnt to ashes in Mirsarai

A total of 17 houses were gutted in a devastating fire at Prakash Sadhur Bazar of Mirsrai upazila. 

2 units of Mirsrai Fire Service, members of social organization Durbar and locals bring the fire under control after 2 hours of attempt.

The families affected by the fire are, Md. Green, Md. Harun, Md. Saifuddin, Jamsed Alam Mubarak, Md. Salim, Md. Nazrul, Md. Fakhrul, Md. Mamun, Md. Roni, Rifat Hossain, Md. Nachir, Md. Alauddin, Saiful Islam, Noor Chappa, Noor Islam, Oli Ahmed and Abdul Khalek.

The fire started from Mamun's kitchen at around 12:30 PM and the flames spread all around. In this, cash, gold ornaments, furniture, fridge, land documents of 17 families of that house were burned and the goods worth about TK50 lakhs were burnt to ashes. 

Md. Mamun injured in the fire said, I have a cow farm worth TK7 lakh that I borrowed has been burnt to ashes. Now I don't know how to pay the loan.Jamsed Alam, another victim, said, I took 50,000 taka from the bank and kept it at home to give the boundary of the place. I have lost about 7 lakhs worth of goods including cash of 50 thousand Taka.

president of Durbar Pragati Organization, said the flames spread rapidly. 

Together with the members of our organization and the fire service personnel, we got together to bring the fire under control. But the dream of 17 families of that house has been burnt to ashes. Daily necessities and accessories are being arranged for them by our organization.

Azim Hossain, UP member of Ward No. 7 of Mithanala Union, said, I visited the spot after receiving the news. I told the matter to the chairman.
