Sixteen bands will set the stage for music lovers performing in a concert scheduled to be held at the Bangladesh Army Stadium in the capital tomorrow (December 2).
The concert titled BAMBA-Channel-i Band Music Fest-22 will be jointly organised by Bangladesh Musical Bands Association and Channel-i and powered by Gaan Bangla TV.
It will feature 16 leading bands: Warfaze, Miles, Nagar Baul, Souls, Renaissance, Feedback, Maqsood O’ Dhaka, Obscure, Dalchhut, Shironamhin, Artcell, Aurthohin, Viking, Cryptic Fate, Pentagon and Powersurge.
The organisers made the announcement at a press conference held at the Channel-i Studio at Tejgaon, Dhaka recently.
Channel-i managing director Faridur Reza Sagar, Channel-i director and head of news Shykh Seraj, the band festival’s project director Izaz Khan Swapan, BAMBA president.
Hamin Ahmed, musician Nakib Khan, music composer Foad Nasser Babu and representatives of the country’s leading bands were present at the press conference.
‘Ayub Bachchu dreamt about celebrating Band Music Day in Bangladesh through a grand concert. Channel-i has been celebrating Band Music Day on December 1 for nine years. We are happy because BAMBA has come forward to celebrate Ayub Bachchu’s dream on a large scale,’ said Faridur Reza Sagar.
‘The upcoming initiative, which has been jointly launched by BAMBA and Channel-i, will play a vital role in spreading Ayub Bachchu’s dream. This year we will organise the concert at the Bangladesh Army Stadium instead of Channel-i office. We want to organise the event across the country in future,’ said Hamin Ahmed.
