A mobile court destroyed some 15 mounds of immature mangoes, ripened with toxic chemicals, at a fruit market in Savar, on the outskirts of capital city, on Saturday.
Executive Magistrate and Ashulia Circle Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ibne Sazzad led the drive near Baipail Bus Stand, at noon.
The fruit sellers fled the scene during the drive, he said. The drive will be continued throughout the month of Ramadan, he added.
