A total of 145 Bangladeshi nationals were repatriated to Bangladesh on Wednesday from the Ainjera detention centre in the Libyan capital of Tripoli.
A chartered flight of Buraq Air carrying the Bangladeshi nationals landed at HazratShahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, said a press release.
After their arrival at the airport, the repatriated Bangladeshi citizens were welcomed by the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Organisation for Migration (IMO).
The IOM gave each of them pocket money of Tk 6,500 apart from some food items.
As a part of the repatriation process, 143 irregular Bangladeshi nationalswere brought to the country on a chartered flight on November 28. Another batch of 110 people was repatriated by a chartered flight on November 30.
A total of 398 Bangladeshi citizens were repatriated to Bangladesh in the last three chartered flights.
