14-Party Alliance united to fight anti-liberation

The leaders ofthe 14-party alliance led by ruling Awami League on Monday reiterated their firm view to remain united to face conspiracies of the evil forces in the street together.

They came up with the vow at a grand rally held at the capital’s historic SuhrawardyUdyan on the occasion of the great Victory Day and in protest against the anarchy by BNP, Jamaat and anti-liberation forces.   

Chaired by Amir Hossain Amu, a member of Awami League's advisory council, and the coordinator and spokesperson of the central 14-party alliance, the mass rally was held with the participation of thousands of leaders and activists of the parties. 

At the rally, Amir Hossain Amu said, "No conspiracy will succeed as the 14-party alliance is ready to resist all the conspiracies.”

He also announced to fight evil forces in the streets.

"December is the month of victory. BNP tried to create chaos in this month. But they did not succeed”, said Amu.

Jatiya Party (JP) chairman Anwar Hossain Manju, its secretary general Sheikh Shahidul Islam, Fazle Hossain Badsha, general secretary of Workers Party of Bangladesh, Shirin Akhter, general secretary of JatiyaSamajtantrik Dal, DilipBarua, general secretary of Samyabadi Dal, among others, addressed the rally.

Jatiya Partygeneral secretary (Manju) Sheikh Shahidul Islam said, “BNP first had declared a one-point movement on December 10. Now it comes up with 27 points. But their announcement will not work.”

He urged all the political parties to take oath of upholding the democratic system with a view to keeping the flow of development and democratic system continued.

Workers Party general secretary Fazle Hasan Badsha said, "If the forces of the liberation war are united, Jamaat-BNP will be wiped out from the soil of Bangladesh."

JSD general secretary Shirin Akhtar, MP, said, "There is no compromise with the defeated forces of 1971 and we must foil any conspiracy.”

DilipBarua, general secretary of Samyabadi Dal, said, "The country is divided into two parts today. The strength of the liberation war side under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina is on one handwhile the anti-liberation forces led by BNP is on the other. All progressive forces must be united under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina to continue the development process of the country.
