Information and broadcasting ministry has formed a 13-member jury board for awarding National Film Award 2022. The ministry issued a statement in this regard on March 23 signed by the ministry’s deputy secretary Md Saiful Islam.
Additional secretary, film, of the information and broadcasting ministry is president and vice-chairman of Bangladesh Film Censor Board is member secretary of the jury board.
The other members of the jury board are joint secretary, film, of information and broadcasting ministry; managing director of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation; director general of Bangladesh Film Archive; Dhaka University television, film and photography department professor Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan; film director Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar; music director Hasan Motiur Rahman; cinematographer Pankaj Palit; actor Riaz Uddin Ahamed Siddique; actress Dolly Johur; singer Nokib Uddin Khan and journalist Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul.
According to the notification, the jury board will nominate individuals and films for the award. The film award will be given in 28 categories.
National Film Award 2022 will be given in categories, namely Lifetime Achievement, Best Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, Best Director, Best Actor in the Principal Role, Best Actress in the Principal Role, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor/Actress in Negative Role, Best Actor/Actress in Comedy Role, Best Child Artiste, Special Award in for Child Artiste, Best Music Director, Best Dance Director, Best Male Singer, Best Female Singer, Best Lyricist, Best Music Composer, Best Story Writer, Best Screenplay, Best Dialogue, Best Editor, Best Art Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Sound Director, Best Costume Designer and Best Makeup Artiste.
