The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Dhaka organized an online literary program dedicated to the 127th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Mayakovsky. The programme was held on July 19.
The students of the Russian Language Courses and many Bengali lovers of Russian poetry took an active part in the event.
Famous Bengali journalist, translator, graduate of the Faculty of Philology Kuban State University (Krasnodar) Zahid Reza Nur prepared a video presentation in which he spoke in detail about the life and work of V. Mayakovsky.
The participants read selected poems and expressed their views on the influence of the Russian poet on contemporary literature. They also visited the virtual exhibition “Vladimir Mayakovsky in photographs.”
