A total of 12 drug dealers surrendered to Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chuadanga on Monday (February 22) evening. They surrendered to police in a bid to lead normal life and positive business for maintaining their families.
The surrendered drug dealers are Sohel, son of Momin Ali of village Joyrampur, Nazmul Hossain, son of Nazrul Islam of village Joyrampur, Khokon, son of Tela Miah of village Joyrampur, Kamrul, son of Ansar Ali of village Joyrampur, Barek Ali, son of Akmol Hossain of village Joyrampur, Mohammad Sharif, son of Shahadat Hossain of village Joyrampur, Nayon son of Hiamiah of village Joyrampur, Sorif, son of Abdul Hamid of village Karpashdanga, Ashadul son of Md. Aner Ali of village Karpashdanga, Md Roki son of Abdul Hamid of village Karpashdanga, Imon Ali son of Nazrul Islam of village Karpashdanga, Md. Firoz son of Shahinur Rahman of village Karpashdanga in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district.
It may be mentioned that they took oath for never to indulge in illegal drug business before Jahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chuadanga. The SP welcomed them with floral wreaths.
While surrendering, the drug businessmen said that they wrong to be involved in the illegal business. They earned a large amount of money but they could never lead peacfull lives.
